Kinoko means mushroom or child of the tree in Japanese, symbolising our natural potential towards transformation, rebirth and connection. We believe in the healing powers of the arts, nature and community.

We offer a range of art and nature-based therapeutic experiences, including one-to-one psychotherapy and coaching, arts therapy and eco-therapy groups, nature walks and retreats.

We recognise that the current status quo of mental health care does not serve the people most in need of support. We are particularly interested in supporting people from the Global Majority, LGBTQIA+ members, neurodivergent individuals and those with long term disabilities.

We create nurturing, inclusive spaces for people to slow down, express themselves and build meaningful relationships. Working alongside and within the rhythms and cycles of life, we accept things as they come while noticing areas for potential growth and transformation.

In our fast-paced, individualistic society kinoko offers a supportive space to slow down, reflect and nourish ourselves within a safe and nuturing community.

About

Hello!

Meet the Founder

I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist and Trainee Art Therapist with nine years’ experience supporting mental wellbeing, including four years within the NHS.

Kinoko was born from a desire to make mental health support more accessible and holistic. I’m particularly interested in supporting marginalised communities, including people from the Global Majority, LGBTQIA+ people, neurodivergent people and those living with long-term disabilities.

I aim to create warm, inclusive spaces where people feel heard, understood, supported and free to explore themselves and their creativity at their own pace.
